A group of artists in conversation with the Johannesburg Art Gallery (JAG), its history and archives, consider its place in the Johannesburg landscape today. The site-specific exhibition includes a curatorial intervention with the works from the JAG collection in the Ghost Room; reading, mapping and discussion in the Speculation Room; and screenings and performances on the Blaxis Screen. The project’s first iterations, “BLANK.”, “2” and “2. The Ghost Exhibition” took place between 2020 and 2021, against the backdrop of the pandemic and the slowing of time, at CIRCUIT Centre d’art contemporain, Lausanne.
